This is a remote freelance role that overlaps with American working hours. It will begin with some trial projects, with the potential to grow to a constant work load, based on performance and business need.
The Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Product Manager to join the ActivePrime product team. This is a hands-on role where you will learn our products deeply, contribute to the product development cycle, and grow into a critical interface between support and engineering.
You will start by mastering our product through our user guide and direct product exploration, then gradually take on user story creation, support ticket triage, and — for the right candidate — ownership of a defined product stream.

Key Responsibilities

Review and audit the product user guide against live product functionality, identifying gaps, inaccuracies, and outdated content, and implement updates to keep documentation accurate

Translate feature requests and requirements into well-structured user stories following ActivePrime's template and INVEST criteria, ensuring acceptance criteria are testable and unambiguous for engineering and QA

Participate in sprint ceremonies (grooming, planning) and use AI tools (including Claude) as a first step in validating story completeness before escalating to senior team members

Monitor and triage incoming support tickets from the Customer Success team — open engineering tickets for bugs, answer or route product questions to PM

Lead, and keep the communication aligned between engineering team and Customer success

Collaborate with the Customer Success team to communicate product behavior and sprint delivery timelines and content, document recurring support patterns, and escalate themes to the PM Lead for roadmap consideration

For the right candidate: grow into end-to-end ownership of a defined product stream, including backlog grooming, story creation, QA coordination, and release documentation
Requirements

1–3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a closely related role (recent graduates with product portfolio will be considered)

Strong written communication skills in English — ability to write clear, structured, unambiguous requirements

Detail-oriented: comfortable reading technical documentation and comparing it against live product behavior

Familiarity with agile development concepts (user stories, sprints, acceptance criteria)

Proactive self-starter who can work independently in a remote, async-first environment

Comfortable with ambiguity and able to ask the right clarifying question before escalating
Nice to Have

Experience with Salesforce, CRM platforms, or data quality / data management tools

Exposure to ClickUp, Jira, or similar project management platforms

Experience writing user stories in a SaaS or B2B environment

Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows (using tools like Claude, ChatGPT for research and validation)

Prior experience in a customer support, customer success, or technical support role
